My Theory of Change
Change is the art of becoming—an unfolding rather than a fixing, a deep remembering rather than a forced reinvention. At the core of transformation is awareness, emotional intelligence, and embodied wisdom, the ability to meet life as it is, rather than as we wish it to be.
Healing is not about erasing pain but about developing the resilience to hold it, the regulation to move through it, and the connection to share it. True change happens in the spaces between—between breath and silence, between self and other, between the stories we’ve inherited and the ones we have yet to write.
Drawing from mindfulness, Existential inquiry, relational theory, and somatic intelligence, I help individuals unravel conditioned patterns, integrate shadowed aspects of the self, and step into a fuller expression of their being. Whether in therapy, coaching, or consultation, my work is about cultivating presence, deepening connection, and walking the path of transformation with courage, humility and curiosity.
There is no single path, only the one we choose to walk. My role is not just to give answers but to guide you toward your own—toward the still, knowing place within that has been waiting for you all along.
Education and Experience
With over 20 years in human services, my work has spanned private practice, executive leadership, clinical supervision, community mental health and education. I bring a diverse academic foundation in psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, human development, leadership, and spirituality, allowing me to integrate multiple perspectives into my work with individuals, couples, families, and professionals.
I hold dual licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Colorado and am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, mentoring clinicians as they refine their therapeutic approach. As a former post-graduate faculty member and instructor, I have designed and instructed a curriculum that embodied my passion for the integration of philosophy, psychology, and spirituality.
Beyond therapy, I have served as Executive Director of a Colorado Non-Profit which trained therepists and offered income based therapy services to the community. I led business operations, accreditation processes, financial planning, community partnerships, and Managed faculty and Students. My experience includes organizational leadership, clinical program development, strategic consultation, and public speaking at universities, professional trainings, and community workshops.
My work is informed by a broad theoretical foundation, integrating attachment theory, systems thinking, narrative therapy, existential psychology, mindfulness, Buddhist psychology and neuroscience. Whether in therapy, coaching, supervision, or consultation, I bring a depth-oriented, relational, and experiential approach—helping individuals and organizations develop clarity, resilience, and meaningful transformation

Thoughts from a Therapist
Psychological and philosophical reflections on growth, relationships, and the inner life—written to deepen how we live and connect.
ThoughtsFromaTherapist.com is a space for thoughtful reflection at the intersection of psychology, philosophy, and relational life. The writing draws from years of clinical experience, mindfulness practice, and existential study, offering grounded insights into emotional intelligence, embodied resilience, and the subtle work of living with intention. Themes include dialectic maturity, democratic participation, and the creative expression of thought and feeling—held within the wider field of personal and collective growth.
True growth requires humility, dedication, self-discipline, congruence, and emotional regulation—skills that shape not only our personal well-being but also our ability to engage meaningfully in relationships, communities, and larger societal structures. This blog extends beyond self-development, examining the philosophical and ethical foundations of human connection, the importance of open dialogue in a thriving democracy, and the role of creativity and poetry in making sense of the human experience.
Whether you seek practical guidance, intellectual depth, or artistic inspiration, this space invites you to think critically, feel deeply, and cultivate a more authentic and intentional way of being
